About Me
Stories have always been a part of my life ever since I was a kid making home movies with my family. I knew that I wanted to incorporate them into adulthood as I got older, and the answer became more clear when I saw The Shawshank Redemption in early 2022. Movies and television soon became my fervor that I dreamed of incorporating into my career. So, I changed my major from computer science to entertainment and media studies at UGA.
Before I was accepted, I wrote and directed my first film in the summer of 2023: Where There Is Youth, There Is Life. It is an intimate, music/drama that deals with a lead guitar player who had aspirations to be the next Jimi Hendrix, but ultimately failed to live up to his expectations. This film shows how this character receives fulfillment in spite of his lack of success.
After a year, I was accepted into my major and went on to be selected at my first film festival, Cobb International. Its numerous prestigious films only added to my burning enthusiasm for this medium. So, I started another film shortly after in my production class, Procrastination. This follows a student whose envy of his peer's success leads to anxiety of completing his English essay. This was accepted into the Georgia Student Film festival earlier in 2025.
The swan song of my undergraduate projects is Jezebel, a music video starring country fraternity singer Bryce Duren. Jezebel possesses a camp fire atmosphere and features a lone man coping with the infidelity of his girlfriend. After graduating in August 2025, I am now a freelance filmmaker, eager to step into the landscape of the entertainment and media industry.
